The maiden voyage...

As I mentioned earlier, Nate enjoys RC airlpanes. Over a year ago he started work on a J3 piper cub (I think that is what it is called). The wingspan is about 7 feet wide. Anyway, he has attempted to get it off the ground a few times, but was never really able to get it up in the air successfully. The last attempt resulted in some damage to the plane. So Nate has been working feverishly on getting the plane ready for flight. Yesterday we decided to head out to a turf farm in Eagle for the trip. Owen had a lot of fun running around but got really scared of the noise of the engine. It is pretty loud. The total time up in the air was only about 2 minutes and the airplane "crashed" in the field across the street from the turf farm. Luckily there was no damage to the plane this time and we are planning on heading out there again on Saturday!
