Nate is Great!

We celebrated Nate's 30th birthday last night with a fun party with some family and friends. I can't beleive he is 30! It's crazy. Nate is such a great guy - I want share with everyone a few of the many great things about Nate.

• He is the greatest husband and father. I didn't get much sleep last night because I went to bed around 1:00 and Owen got up at 4:00 and would not go back to sleep. I stayed up with him. At 7:45 Nate had to go and clean the church as part of his calling. Instead of leaving Owen with me, he took Owen with him to the church and let me sleep without even being asked. It was his idea! I'm sure it was annoying for him to have Owen there with him, but he never complained. He is the best.
• Nate is fun to be around. He is always laughing and making people laugh. There have been many nights we stay up late and laugh and laugh about nothing.
• Nate loves to make or buy heavy duty and/or powerful gadgets. In high school he made a bicyle light out of a car headlight! (The Hallbergs are still talking about it!) I had to laugh last night as I was lighting his birthday candles with a windproof lighter that was more like a butane torch! Not to mention the 15 million candle power flashlight we have in the garage!
