This winter has been a winter of sickness for our family and frankly - I am sick of it! We seem to just keep passing it back an forth to each other. About 4 weeks ago, Audrey had a cold and an ear infection, then Nate was sick, then I was sick, then Owen was sick. Then on Wednesday last week, Audrey was acting sick again. I felt like I couldn't take one more day of sickness! On Thursday and Friday night she would barely eat or sleep. She also started wheezing like crazy. On Saturday, luckily our doctor's office was open and able to get her in. She had a breathing treatment and some different things checked and the Doc determined that she probably had RSV (a respiratory virus like a cold, but babies cannot handle it like adults can, read more here http://children.webmd.com/tc/respiratory-syncytial-virus-rsv-infection-topic-overview). We walked across the street to the hospital and she was admitted - that was 5 days ago! She is still there. I have been sleeping (or not sleeping) there with her each night. Nate is taking over tonight and if she doesn't go home tomorrow, he will stay Thursday night as well.
This has been a struggle for our little family coordinating things with Owen work schedules etc. and making sure there is always someone with her at the hospital. A big thank you for our family members who have helped so much and been so supportive. We love you so much!
I have to try and look on the bright side, so these are the blessings that we have seen from this experience. First, I have been able to spend a lot of one on one time with Audrey. It has been wonderful to just hang out with her (which sounds wierd because she is 5 months old - but still). Nate has also enjoyed his one on one time with Owen. The other huge blessing that shows that Heavenly Father is looking out for us has to do with insurance. We have been in a transition phase with insurance. From a high deductible policy to one that is much lower. The old insurance ends March 1st and the new insurance started February 1st. We are double covered and should not have to pay much in medical expenses at all. Nate and I have also realized how much we miss being together when we cannot (awww), but seriously it's been tough. I miss him! Sorry no pics for now, the camera is still at the hospital, but I'll be sure and post them when she gets home.

I'm so sorry guys! We'll keep you in our prayers! RSV is scary stuff. We're keeping Paige home strictly because of it...hang in there! Michelle - thanks for the advice - I'm going to ask for a release. Just too much to handle. Good luck with everything!
