Trip to Phoenix

Last week we went to Phoenix for the baby blessing of this little guy...This is Jonathon our nephew from Nate's sis Amy and hubby CW. He is a sweet little guy. It was great to have all the Wall family together again. We decided to drive. What a drive it was! We broke it up quite a bit - and that made it much easier. So we stopped in Salt Lake the first night (thanks Joel and Angie for letting us crash!), then on to Phoenix. We stayed with Ryan and Kim. They were great hosts who let us have their room! We stayed Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Phoenix and enjoyed all the family time, family pics, a stop at the HUGE Bass Pro Shop in Phoenix (the kids loved it!) a light parade in Casa Grande with CW's parents, and S'mores. We also enjoyed the 50-60 degree weather!

On our way home we decided to stay in Las Vegas overnight. We made a quick detour at Lake Havasu. It was rainy and cold, so we didn't get the greatest pics, but it was fun to see the London Bridge. We stayed at the Excalibur in Las Vegas. The kids had a blast just running around the hotel room - I think they were just excited to be out of the car! We also took the kiddos to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. They LOVED it. We loved it too! We drove from Vegas to Salt Lake on Tuesday - and crashed with Joel and Angie again. The next morning we went to IKEA. LOVE THAT PLACE! We picked up a few early Christmas presents for ourselves...I LOVE my new dishes and silverware - and so cheap!

Now we are back to the same old, same old, but it is great to be home. We always realize how much we love home when we come back!
