Great Weekend!

We had such a great weekend this weekend - first my Mom off offerred to watch our kids overnight so we could celebrate our anniversary. Because it is Labor Day weekend, the places that we considered going were booked (oh, and because we waited until the last minute :)). Instead we decided to hang around town and do all the things that we wish we did more of but don't for various reasons (i.e. the kids). Here is what we decided to do:
  • Ate breakfast at Blue Sky Bagels (we LOVE this place)
  • Went to the Farmer's Market downtown (I always have to get the sugared almonds - yummy!)
  • Went to see The Dark Knight (LOVED this movie! We love Christian Bale as Batman, and who could go wrong with Morgan Freeman in the mix?)
  • Played miniature golf at Boondocks (I'm sorry to say that Nate kicked my you know what!)
  • Ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory (YUM! This is such a treat for us - we LOVE this place. The best part is we went about about 4:30 and didn't have to wait!)

It was such a great relaxing day without the kiddos, but we sure did miss them.

In other weekend news...

Owen went potty in his potty chair! Now if he will only do it again...any suggestions?

Audrey took 6 consecutive steps. I think she will be walking by next weekend.

What a fun weekend! I want to be able to just go out with Matt for the weekend, we're always talking about it. My due date is 4 days before our anniversary, so Maybe next year...

I would LOVE to offer suggestions for Owen, but our Owen is being difficult too! I was able to get him trained to go in the toilet, but now he just goes in his pants, Unless we tell him to go every 1/2 hour-hour. Very annoying! If you get any good ideas, let me know too! Good Luck!

How nice of your mom to watch the kids. I love times you can get away from the kids. It usually only happens once a year, but we cherish the time. Sounds like you guys had a fun time!
