I have been serving in the nursery for a long, long, long, long time. I served in the nursery in the Foothills East Ward for about 6 months or so. I was released and about two weeks later we moved into the Royal Park Ward. This was at the at the end of June 2007. I was called into the nursery in the Royal Park Ward in August 2007. Audrey was born in September 2007.
Let's just say I have been sick of nursery for about a year now. I have never not accepted a calling and I have never asked to be released. We had a great primary president who was released and I had never met the new one, so I was certain I would be all but forgotten and NEVER released from nursery.
One fine day a few weeks ago she called "to see how I was doing." I was honest and said that I had been serving a long time and was ready to be done. She was like - I'll make that happen! I was finally released last Sunday and called to the Relief Society board. These are ADULTS! I am so excited. I will be a Visiting Teaching supervisor and will serve on the Enrichment Committee.
The funny thing (I mean inspired thing) is...I am a TERRIBLE visiting teacher and I haven't been to an enrichment meeting since we moved into this ward over a year ago. I am so thankful for inspiration and Heavenly Father knowing and putting me where I need to be!

Hmmm Visiting Teaching supervisor? I had to giggle a little at your comments, given our history - you know what I'm talk'n about. LOL
Congrats on the new callings! I don't know if I told you, but when I was released from Young Women's I was called to play the piano in Primary - one of my new favorite callings!!!
I am SO happy to hear you got released and was so glad to hear about it in sacrament meeting. Thank goodness the Primary president called you to check!
