Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you! I feel like Mother's Day is kind of like my birthday because Nate doesn't let me do anything (he cooks, gets the kids ready, etc). We are so thankful for the mothers in our lives!

My mom:

My mom taught me how to be a mom. She has such a sweet sensitive heart and spirit. I love to just talk with my mom, she always gives good advice. My mom was always game to do fun things with us. Like when we were pretending to be reporters, we could interview her. She let us rollerskate around the kitchen. She also taught us the gospel. As a teen especially, my Mom's face would flash in my mind when I was out and making decisions about what I should be doing. My mom is also a fun grandma and the kids love her. Owen especially loves to talk to her on the phone. She also hasn't changed a bit over the years - she is fifty-something :) and still has hardly any gray hair! I hope I have those genes! I love my mom so much!

Nate's mom:

Nate's mom is so great. She takes care of our kids during the day while we are at work. This has been a huge blessing for us and the kids have a great relationship with her. She is so funny and fun to be around. She is always willing to help whenever we need it, but also knows how to not be a "nosy Mother-in-law" that everyone avoids. She is so much fun to play games with. It is especially fun to watch her in "acting out" games like Guesstures, or charades! She is hilarious! We love her so much!

We love our moms so much and hope that we can live up to the example they have shown for us!
